Local 'no car' rides

Katie & Joanne shares their favourite Sydney local rides sticking to the cycle paths.

"I love the cycling paths along the Parramatta river (NSW). Lots of options/extensions, cafe stops at Rhodes or meadowbank, it’s a smooth path for most with some pretty bridges to commute across, water views, sun beaming down on you, scenery throughout with Sydney Olympic Park having some activities on, parks/lakes/fountains etc. it’s anywhere from 20-40kms on our usual riding days. Toilets are accessible too along the route. Parking and start locations can absolutely vary from Parramatta Park, Silverwater bridge, Rhodes, Meadowbank, Homebush. I enjoy the ride and so does my 3 kids." Katie L.

"One of many favs, Syd Olympic Park, for these reasons : water views, nostalgia from Circa syd Olympics 2000, Including a stop at the Olympic cauldron, ride by the aquatic centre, and lap of the stadiums, multiple choices of coffee stops, bridges (always good pic op!), but best of all, zero roads other than the Olympic stadium and that has a bike lane) never disappoints. Adaptable ride distance from 24k—45km"  Joanne L.
