A little bit of Catfish Designs history for you:
🌟in the 1980’s when founder Prue was a pro surfer she started making her own swimwear that would look nice and stay on in the surf
🌟 fast forward to 2000 with four sporty kids, Prue set up in the family garage making swimwear for the kids
🌟 before long the word spread and she was selling swimwear to northern beaches families and even custom making 100’s of swimmers for local surf clubs
🌟 taking a leap of faith she moved out of the garage, got some extra sewing help and moved into her own warehouse and office space
🌟 in mid 2010’s we were selling online but there was an opportunity for a shopfront in our local community of Mona Vale so we opened a pop up shop for summer
🌟 in 2015 oldest daughter Lana left her corporate banking job to join the family business cementing the next generation of Catfish
🌟 in 2016 we made our move into activewear and tri gear drawing on our expertise in Lycra garments, we were excited to branch out and bring more colour to the space
🌟 2021 the reigns of the business were officially handed over to Lana and husband Andy who are now working on the next 30 years for Catfish
It’s been a journey, and we’re excited to celebrate where we have come from and for the future of our business.
